Facelift Surgery

Why Do You Need A Facelift Surgery?

This cosmetic surgical procedure is performed to give a youthful appearance to a sagging skin that occurs with age. It reduces the folds of skin on the cheeks and gives your face a lifted shape. When we age, our skin becomes loose and fat deposit decreases. It results in the sagging appearance of your cheeks, folds of skin from the corner of your mouth, and excess skin at the lower jawline. A facelift surgery conceals the signs of aging like wrinkles and creases around the nose and upper lip.

What Is The Procedure For Facelift Surgery?

Also known as Rhytidectomy, this surgical procedure improves visible signs of aging in the face and neck. The surgery starts with local anesthesia to numb sensation in the area which is needed to be operated. It involves elevating the loose skin and tightening the tissues and muscles to make it look more radiant and young. The excess fat in the face is removed or repositioned, and the wound is stitched. Our skilled surgeons provide different incisions. For instance, in a traditional facelift, incisions are made in front of the ear, which extends up to the hairline.

A limited incision starts from the hairline just above the ear and wraps around the front of the ear. However, it doesn’t extend into the lower scalp. A limited incision is a shorter incision that begins in your hairline just above your ear, wraps around the front of your ear, but does not extend all the way into the lower scalp. The incisions are then closed with sutures after a few days. Once it is healed, you can witness visible improvements in the appearance of the skin as the contours of the face and ear are lifted, thereby restoring your youthfulness.
